I am Full Professor of Sociology at the University of Maribor. My research spans political sociology, public opinion, political participation, political polarization, social values, health sociology, vaccination attitudes, youth studies, environmental attitudes, volunteering, cultural participation, and comparative cross-national survey research.

Political Polarization and Democratic Participation

I examine the relationship between political polarization and civic engagement, with a focus on affective and ideological divides and their consequences for democratic participation in European societies.

Vaccine Hesitancy and Health Literacy

I investigate the social, political, and cultural determinants of vaccine hesitancy and health literacy, drawing on survey data from Slovenia and comparative European sources.

Youth Values and Political Participation

I study the political attitudes, values, and participation patterns of young people in Slovenia and cross-nationally, with attention to generational change and political socialisation.
